In this codelab, attendees will explore practical aspects of developing generative AI applications using state-of-the-art tools, including Vertex AI, Gemini, and Cloud Run.
In the first part, we’ll tour Vertex AI Studio, examine multimodality use cases, and explore using Gemini in education.
In the second part, you’ll be given free access to Google Cloud and we’ll do a guided codelab together, using Vertex AI to generate a trivia quiz according to some provided specifications. You’ll test your quiz generator in a cloud hosted developer environment, and then make it publicly available by deploying it to Cloud Run. At the end of the lab, you’ll integrate your quiz generator with a complete app.
By the end of this session, attendees will have acquired knowledge, hands-on experience, and built something interesting and fun using generative AI!
