Construire une base de données performante, résiliente et scalable reste l’un des défis les plus complexes du monde logiciel. Entre la concurrence permanente pour les ressources, la gestion critique de l'état des données et les exigences de distribution, les architectures mono-noeud atteignent rapidement leurs limites.
Les bases relationnelles reposent sur des fondations solides, mais difficilement adaptables à grande échelle.
Le NoSQL, lui, a bousculé les codes… au prix d’une fragmentation des approches, sans véritables standards universels. Mais toutes les bases de données NoSQL utilisent la mémoire pour assurer la performance que l’on attend d’elles.

He specializes in navigating the technical evolution of high-scale environments, with a focus on NoSQL architecture, performance optimization, and the modernization of legacy stacks into cloud-native ecosystems.

Today, as a Solutions Architect at Aerospike, Nicolas solves complex real-time data challenges at massive scale. He leverages Aerospike’s architecture to deliver sub-millisecond performance across multi-terabyte datasets, helping organizations transform technical debt into high-performance infrastructure. He works closely with technical stakeholders to design and operate systems that can maintain strict consistency and predictability across distributed environments.

Before Aerospike, Nicolas held senior technical roles at industry-leading data companies. As a Senior Staff Sales Engineer at Cockroach Labs and a Solution Architect at Couchbase, he specialized in the internals of distributed SQL and NoSQL databases for global brands such as Carrefour, Louis Vuitton, and Heineken. His technical foundation includes years of hands-on work as a Solutions Architect and Developer at Capgemini and Sopra Steria, where he focused on .NET, PL/SQL, and complex NoSQL implementations.

Pierre holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Ensimag.
