Panel Discussion: LangChain4j, a year later.

As an organizer of Devoxx Belgium, I am passionate about conducting research and development (R&D) that leads to new features in Devoxx-related applications like the CFP web app. In recent years, I have been exploring and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies such as large language models (LLMs), convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and other artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Recently I've been working on the DevoxxGenie IntelliJ plugin which allows you to talk to LLM's both locally and remotely.

Guillaume Laforge is a Developer Advocate for Google Cloud, where he specializes in Generative AI, service orchestration, and serverless compute solutions. He is also a Java Champion and the co-creator of the Apache Groovy programming language.

Lize Raes is Product Manager and Developer Advocate at Naboo.ai, where she helps to build the developer productivity toolbox of the future. Known as the public face of the LangChain4j framework, she loves inspiring developers to apply the potential of AI in real-world applications. Committed to applying technology to societal challenges, Lize has embraced roles such as cochlear implant researcher at Ghent University, bioinformatics engineer for drug development software, and advisor to the Belgian government, where her COVID-19 prognosis model was used to steer drug and hospital supplies during the pandemic. In her free time, you will find her behind the piano or in her woodworking atelier.

Julien Dubois manages the Java Developer Relations team at Microsoft.
He is known as the creator and lead developer of the JHipster project, and as a Java Champion. In the past 25 years, Julien mainly worked with the Java and Spring technologies, leading technical teams for many different customers across all industries. As he loves sharing his passion, Julien wrote a book on the Spring Framework, spoke at more than 200 international conferences, and created several popular Open Source projects.

Max co-leads Quarkus and created JBang, focusing on Developer Joy and productivity.
Developer joy plays a central part of Max’s 20+ years of experience as a professional open-source contributor. Max worked on Hibernate/Hibernate Tools, WildFly, Seam, and Ceylon. Max led the team behind JBoss Tools and Developer Studio until starting work on Quarkus.
Max has a keen interest in moving the Java ecosystem forward and making it more accessible. To that end he created JBang a tool to bring back developer joy to Java and works closely with teams defining and exploring making native image for Java a reality using GraalVM/Mandrel, Leyden and Quarkus. Max also worked in Python, especially around Home Assistant and command line tools.
