You can’t debug your Health with more code

This talk argues that developers often neglect their health while optimizing systems, despite relying on their bodies most. It examines how sedentary habits, poor sleep, stress, and constant connectivity undermine long-term performance, and why health is essential for focus, creativity, resilience, and sustainable engineering.

We spend our days monitoring systems, preventing failures, and debugging problems. Yet many of us ignore the one system we depend on the most: ourselves.

Long hours sitting, poor sleep, endless coffee, constant connectivity, and the belief that we'll take care of our health "after this sprint" have quietly become normal in our industry. But unlike software, some failures are much harder to rollback.

This talk explores what really happens when developers treat their bodies like side projects and why health is not a luxury. It's the foundation that supports our focus, performance, creativity, and ability to build for the long term.
