JavaScript in 2026: Forget the Old Tricks — Discover Modern Solutions You Will Not Find on Stack Overflow or ChatGPT

When coding, we often reach for solutions from old Stack Overflow posts or ask ChatGPT for quick answers, only to fall back on patterns that have been around forever.
But current versions of the ECMAScript standard give us a whole range of new features that solve the same problems in much cleaner and more powerful ways. And we often simply are not taking advantage of them yet.
In this live coding session, we will explore these newer capabilities together.
We will take everyday tasks we all still handle with outdated techniques and replace them with the modern tools the language now offers
By the end of the talk, we will not only understand what the latest version of JavaScript brings us, but we will also feel confident and excited to leave old habits behind and embrace the elegant, modern solutions available today.
