AI-First at Allegro Scale: How the Agentic Engine Revolutionized the Homepage?
Allegro’s homepage requires managing massive configuration trees and huge JSON templates. To overcome this, the team built ACE (Agentic Engine), shifting editors from manual content creation to reviewing AI-generated structures. The talk covers the implementation, challenges, and key factors behind this transformation.

The Allegro homepage is our storefront, but beneath the surface lies a dynamic ecosystem hiding a massive configuration. Every day, our editors face configuration trees with hundreds or thousands of nodes and fill out templates containing thousands of lines of JSON. In this model, we reached a limit and needed AI to cross it. Over the past year, we have made a technological leap. Instead of forcing people to fill out dozens of forms, we implemented ACE (Agentic Engine). As a result, we transitioned from manual content creation to the role of a reviewer of automatically generated structures. In this presentation, I will explain how we did it, what obstacles we encountered, and what actually allowed us to achieve our goal.

Engineering Manager at Allegro
I have been a developer for about ten years, five of which I’ve spent at Allegro. I started my journey working on an A/B testing platform before moving to the team responsible for maintaining the home page and developing automation tools for site content management.During my time here, I’ve:
- Participated in two major redesigns of the home page.
- Managed traffic reaching 45,000 RPS (Requests Per Second).
- Optimized content rendering services to handle that scale.
On a personal note, I’m a husband, a dad, and a total bike geek.
