Lize Raes loves helping developers to bring AI into real-world applications. As Developer Advocate for Java + AI at Oracle and collaborator at LangChain4j, she’s invested into making cutting-edge tech accessible and useful for developers. Her path has taken her from cochlear implant research to advising the Belgian government during COVID-19, to bioinformatics for drug development. Lize likes her projects hands-on and slightly unconventional, especially when they help make the world a bit better. Outside of work, you’ll find her behind the piano or in her woodworking atelier.

Nicolai (aka nipafx) is a Java enthusiast focused on language features, core APIs, and runtime evolution with a passion for learning and sharing. He does that mostly at conferences and in his biweekly Inside Java Newscast, but also occasionally in live streams, articles, and books - more on all that on nipafx.dev. He's a Java Developer Advocate at Oracle and otherwise best known for his haircut.

Cassandra Chin has given keynotes at Devnexus and Devoxx Morocco and presentations around the world. Her latest book, Raising Young Coders, is published by Apress and helps parents to inspire their kids to love technology. She has been teaching technology kids workshops at international conferences since she was 13 years old and is passionate about helping allow women, minorities, and underprivileged students to learn about technology. Her books have been featured at international events like Kubecon + CloudNativeCon and in popular technology shows like theCUBE and Techstrong TV.

Rod Johnson is a developer, author, entrepreneur and advisor. He is the creator of the Spring Framework and Embabel agent framework.

As the founder of Devoxx and organizer of Devoxx Belgium, I am passionate about conducting R&D that leads to new features in Devoxx-related applications like the CFP web app, mobile app etc. In recent years, I have been exploring and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies such as CNNs, LLMs and other AI tools. Most recently I've been working on the DevoxxGenie IntelliJ plugin which allows you to talk to LLM's both locally and remotely.

Georges Saab is the Senior Vice President of Development for the Java Platform Group at Oracle. His group is responsible for Java Standard Edition including the Java language, core libraries, and the Java Virtual Machine. Georges is a 35 year veteran of programming language and platform development. His work with the Java platform began as a developer of Java Standard Edition at JavaSoft and Sun Microsystems, where he was a founder of the Swing group and Java Webstart, and continued as he ran development of the JRockit JVM for many years at BEA Systems. Georges is the Chair of the OpenJDK governing board.
