Vidocq is an open-source, pure Java implementation of Jakarta EE Core Profile and MicroProfile with zero external dependencies, validated by 5,650 TCK tests. Vidocq, an open source implementation of the Jakarta EE Core Profile and MicroProfile, written in pure Java, with zero external dependencies and validated by 5,650 official TCK tests started as an experiment a few month ago by checking if a coding agent with detailed specs and TCKs could build a complte Java stack from scratch.
A few month later, here we are, a functional stack with no less than15 independent modules covering the entire Core Profile and MicroProfile ! Join me in this exciting live coding session where I will introduce you to Vidocq by building from scratch a complete application using most of the available modules.
No slides, just live "human" coding and maybe a bit of vibe coding for the 5 last minutes. And the end of the session, my goal is to give you the appetite to try out this stack and helping promoting this exciting European sovereign project !
